How remarkable that our two roads have crossed,
My life without you would have been lonely and forever lost.
What can I give you for happiness like this?
Could we swap a poem for a kiss?
I have been happy before,
But it never last long and I always needed more.
Life with you is finally complete,
A challenge until now has always been left in defeat.
At a time I thought I would never mend,
I had looked and looked and found no friend.
Was convinced I was bound for a life of heartache,
At night lay awake, wondering what it would take.
I was afraid you would never come,
That I would not see, anymore, the sun.
I had become afraid of change,
Felt like you were way out of my range.
But if I’m not supposed to live wondering where you are or what you do,
Sorry I can help myself, I’m in love with you.
There is so much here I want to give you,
But first would you swap a poem for a kiss.
