Best Teacher Poem

Wonderful Teacher

With a special gift for learning
And with a heart that deeply cares,
You add a lot of love
To everything you share,
And even though
You mean a lot,
You'll never know how much,
For you helped
To change the world
Through every life you touched.
You sparked the creativity
In the students whom you taught,
And helped them strive for goals
That could not be bought,
You are such a special teacher
That no words can truly tell
However much you're valued
For the work you do so well.
- Author Unknown

Oh teacher, Oh teacher!

My test isn't signed
Because somehow
My parents went blind
Now, don't say it's my fault,
They left their hands in the bank vault.

Oh teacher, Oh teacher
Do you know why
I was born without wings
And so cannot fly
Thus I am late
Didn't have breakfast,
So if you don't mind,
Pass me a plate.

Oh teacher, Oh teacher!
I've failed again
Please don't scold me,
Now you'll see why,
I was thinking about
Having an eagle's brain.
- Sharmila Saheed

Happy Birthday Teacher Poetry

Make A Wish On Birthday

Make a wish and give it wings
Dreams of bright and beautiful things

Dance through all the fun filled hours
Don't forget to smell the flowers

Share some love and birthday cake
All life joys are yours to take

Thanks your lucky stars you're you
Happy Birthday

A Brand New Day Is Dawning

A brand new day is dawning
And as it gets its start,
I want you know I am thinking
Of you with warmth in my heart.

I hope your birthday is special
No one deserves it more than you!
You are such a kindhearted person,
It shows in everything that you do.

So, have a perfect morning
And an even lovelier day...
May happiness surround you
Always... not just for today!

Funny Poems For A Teacher

English Lecture Coma

I think I know
What it feels like to slip into a coma.
I am sitting,
My teacher is rambling,
And my senses are going.
Slowly,
I slip
Into
Darkness...
- James Grengs

Bored To Death

I am in class taking anatomy & physiology lecture
Oh! I am so tired I can not even stare at the teacher
He is so talkative & talks too much, as he has a PHD in literature
I can not even take a note, I do not care
I can not wait to see him walk out through the door.
Monday is always boring
But, not as boring as that old slim teacher, who moves like a string
I can't take it anymore shall ask permission
- Leila Light

Where do all the teachers go?

Where do all the teachers go
When its four o’clock?
Do they live in houses
And do they wash their socks?

Do they wear pajamas?
And do they watch TV?
And do they pick their noses
The same as you and me?

Do they live with other people
Have they mums and dads?
And were they ever children
And were they ever bad?

Did they ever, never spell right
Did they ever make mistakes?
Were they punished in the corner
If they pinched the chocolate flakes?

Did they ever lose their hymn books
Did they ever leave their greens?
Did they ever scribble on the desktop
Did they wear old dirty jeans?

I’ll follow one back home today
I’ll find out what they do
Then I’ll put it in a poem
That they can read to you.
- Peter Dixon

Teachers Day Speech

Tips On Teachers Day Speech

A true teacher is not someone who just teaches academic lessons to his/her students. Rather, he/she is like a guide, who helps the students in each and every sphere of life, by giving the right advice. They are future makers. None of the achievers in this world has attained a feat without the guidance of a teacher. Teacher's Day seeks to acknowledge this very contribution of teachers. If you want to make this day special for your teachers as well, try to deliver a speech in their honor, highlighting their importance on the life of students. In case you need some tips on Teacher's Day speech, read on.

Teachers Day Speech Tips
First, you need to decide on the duration of your Teacher's Day speech. You can conclude it in as less time as five minutes or stretch it to as much as half an hour. However, it is the best to stick to a duration of 10 to 15 minutes, which gives you enough time to applaud your teacher, but doesn't make the speech too long and boring.
You can include the famous quotes and sayings on teachers, in your Teacher's Day speech. However, do make sure that the quotes pertain to the particular train of thought that you are following in the speech and do not look as if they have been added just for the heck of it. So, be very careful while choosing the quotes and sayings tha will form a part of your speech.
You also need to decide on the flow of your speech i.e. how will the quotes and sayings will be included in the speech, what will be the opening paragraph and how will your conclude the speech. A good idea is to start the speech with a quote and end with it applause for the teachers and gratitude for the role that they play in a student's life.
If you want, you can include in the speech a small description about your relationship with a particular teacher and quote an incident that you specifically remember, where your teacher came to your rescue. It will add a personal touch to the speech.
Though many people tend to overlook it, the...

Abdul Kalams Speech On Teacher's Day

Dear listeners of All India Radio and teachers, my greetings to all of you.

I am talking to you on the special occasion of Teachers' Day. On this day, we gratefully remember the great educationist Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose dream was that "Teachers should be the best minds in the country". Hence, Teachers' Day is very important for all our people, for our students and even for all the parents, as the teachers lay the foundation for creating enlightened citizens for the nation. On this day, I would like to recall three teachers who helped me in shaping my life.

To begin with I am going to talk to you about my father Janab Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen, as a teacher. My father taught me a great lesson when I was a young boy. What was that lesson? It was just after India got Independence. At that time Panchayat board elections took place at Rameswaram. My father was elected Panchayat Board member and on the same day he was also elected the president of the Rameswaram Panchayat Board. Rameswaram Island was a beautiful place with 30,000 populations. At that time they elected my father as Panchayat Board president not because he belonged to a particular religion or a particular caste or spoke a particular language or for his economic status. He was elected only on the basis of his nobility of mind and for being a good human being. Dear listeners, I would like to narrate one incident that took place on the day he was elected president of the Panchayat Board.

I was at that time studying in school. Those days we did not have electricity and we used to study under ration kerosene lamps. I was reading the lessons loudly and I heard a knock at the door. We never used to lock the door in Rameswaram in those days. Somebody opened the door, came in and asked me where my father was? I told him that father had gone for the evening namaz. Then he said, I have brought something for him, can I keep it here? Since my father had gone for namaz, I shouted for my mother to get...

Teachers Day

Madam Aishath Adam, Senior Assistant Principal, Supervisors, members of the staff, Teachers and Dear Students. Assalaam Alaikum and Good afternoon. Today, we are here to celebrate great teachers and great teaching. As a fellow teacher, I find awkward to speak about teachers or for teachers. But, first, let me convey to all the teachers, my personal greetings and best wishes on the teachers’ day. Dear Teachers: Though a fellow teacher, I want to say I am proud of you. I am proud of your dedication to the profession and for the personal sacrifices you make to teach our children. I am delighted of your devotion to train their questing minds, and for your inspiration of their hopeful hearts. I am proud that you take this responsibility seriously —that you see it as sacred trust. We celebrate teachers’ day, because we value you. I want to remind you that all the parents, students and the wider community deeply appreciate your commitment to teaching and to the children. There is no substitute for education. Firstly, because it’s the most precious gift we can give our children. Secondly, because it’s the most critical investment in our future. And thirdly, because it’s the most effective strategy which will enable us to survive and to thrive in a changing world.

Dear Students: I became a teacher because of some of the happy experiences I had in school. There were teachers who touched my soul; who helped me realize my own potential. I decided to become a teacher because I want to help change someone’s life. Sometimes, it is hard. We have our own families, financial life and life problems that challenge us, like everyone else. Sometimes we are exhausted by our workload and responsibilities. This is why teachers need encouragement and support. So that in turn, we can devote ourselves to our students. Dear staff and students; On Teachers’ Day every year, we remember our teachers,...

Teachers Day

Teachers have an influencing role in the life of every student. They are like beacons of light, guiding us in the formative years of our life. Teachers mould us and in the process and shape our future. What we learn from our teachers remains with us, throughout our life. However, very often, we fail to show our appreciation and gratitude for their altruistic devotion. Teachers do need encouragement and support from the community to feel that their efforts are being recognized. To serve the purpose, Teacher's Day is celebrated throughout the world, year by year. By celebrating National Teacher's Day, we thank our teachers for providing us their invaluable guidance.
The festival is celebrated on different dates in different countries. In India, Teacher's Day (also called Teachers' Appreciation Day or National Teacher's Day) is celebrated on 5th of September, every year. The date was selected, because it is the birthday of a timeless teacher and the former President of India - Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. When some of his students and friends approached him and requested him to allow them to celebrate his birthday, he said, "instead of celebrating my birthday separately, it would be my proud privilege, if September 5th is observed as Teacher's day". From then onwards, the 5th of September has been observed as Teachers Day, in India.
Since Teacher's Day is observed on different dates in different countries of the world, the celebrations also vary. In many countries, cultural programs are held, which may include singing competitions, dance and play performances. The students would offer flowers, greeting cards and gifts as the token of affection, to the teachers. The latest trend is to organize Teacher's Day party. Students are keen about throwing a lavish party for their teachers, to show how much they care and respect them. The occasion can be celebrated in myriad other ways as well. Whatever the way you have chosen to amuse your teacher, it should convey your..

Teachers
Almost all of us remember a special teacher who taught us something we have carried throughout our lives. In honor of them, spend just a few minutes thinking about the extraordinary contribution teachers make.
Most professions have their defining characteristics, which attract people for various reasons, and most have a mold into which they easily fit. Some professions draw public attention like a warm watermelon draws flies. Other professions are obsessed purely with profits. But teaching is one profession that doesn’t fit so readily into any mold. It offers a rainbow of experiences that attracts a varied and diverse group of individuals. But there are some things that most teachers do share. They are too often under-paid, under-appreciated and rarely recognized. That’s an unfortunate reality when you consider the incredible power a teacher can bring to a child’s life. These dedicated professionals shape minds, stretch imaginations, challenge thinking and mold character. Teachers help build the legacy that will lead our nation into the future.
But never before have the challenges a teacher faces been greater. In the 1940’s, a survey listed the top seven discipline problems in public schools: talking, chewing gum, making noise, running in the halls, getting out of line, wearing improper clothes and not putting paper in the wastebaskets. However, a more recent survey lists these top seven as today’s problems: drug abuse, alcohol abuse, pregnancy, suicide, rape, robbery and assault. Teachers need all of the support we can offer.
So as we celebrate Teachers' Day on May 7, think about the instructors who impacted your life — the teacher who inspired you into a position of leadership, the teacher who dared you to be a pilot, or the teacher who directed you to be a computer programmer. Remember the teacher who tapped into your musical talent; the teacher who planted the seed for your business, medical, or legal career; and the teacher who gave you the...

Speech Barbara Bush

Barbara Bush, spoke at the 1990 graduation ceremony for Wellesley College which is a women's liberal arts college. This essay will first provide a brief summary of the speech that was given. After this summary I will discuss why it was it is important to know the history preceding her speech. Following this I will talk about why it was important for her to understand the circumstances surrounding her speech. As well the benefits of bringing Mrs. Gorbachev to speak with her and what this meant to the woman of Wellesley. Finally the strategies she incorporated into her speech to appeal to the woman of Wellesley.

The students at Wellesley didn’t want Mrs. Bush to speak because they felt her success was only through her husband, rather than as an independent strong woman. She understood their reaction, and joked "I was twenty, myself." She considered the invitation to speak at Wellesley as a chance to say what she believed was both an opportunity and a conflict that was sole to women of that time, which was the desire to have a family and a career. She confronted the complaints about her being selected to speak at the graduation and as a role model for woman and advised them to "respect difference [and] be compassionate” and that “there is more to life than a job”. She then suggested that one day someone in the audience might follow in her footsteps as the president's spouse. "And I wish him well," the audiences feedback was obviously positive with an uproar of laughter.
Barbra Bush was scheduled to speak at the graduation ceremony at Wellesley on June 1, 1990. Mrs. Bush notes that “these are exciting times,” (Bush; par. 2) and that “we are in a transitional period right now, fascinating and exhilarating times” (Bush; par. 14). She is referring, to the fall of the Berlin wall in and the process of Germany’s reunification (Berlin Wall). This occasion was also the first appearance of Raisa Gorbachev in front of a live American audience; their speeches were broadcasted...

Observing Early Education

A child's first developmental moves, will come from education. Education for a child begins while the child is still in the womb, therefore you want to continue a great education when start your child in a day care facility. Upon choosing a facility, a parent would want to assure that the center is fostering, and encourage all areas of early childhood development. A parent would want to examine the rooms of the facility and check for developmentally appropriate equipment, this includes the literacy offered, the toys the children are offered to play with, art supplies, and all other educational tools. Without a good supply of equipment, a child's early development will not be nourished to the full ability. Throughout the months of October and November, I observed two child care centers on several different days. As I was observing, I went in with the mind set of a parent. Throughout every step I took in each center I ask myself, "Would I send my child here, or would my child be learning and growing developmentally correct in this center?" I observed York Technical College Child Development Center, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and Freedom Montessori also in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Both centers I visited implemented early childhood development. It was very clear among teacher, student interaction, daily lessons, and just the atmosphere when entering the center.
York Tech implements the developmental skills through lessons and centers. Each staff member at this center is required to submit lesson plans to assure that each lesson is nurturing these development needs. Each teacher completes a check list from observations. These observations are taken during free play, circle and group times, art, block centers, dramatic play, and anywhere in the classroom the student will have some form of interaction. York tech also encourages rest time. They believe this is an essential time for them...
