More than half of the species found in the Amazon rainforest are insects. You will find it hard to believe, it is estimated that there are over 500,000 kinds of beetles existing in the Amazon. Spectacular butterflies, the soft looking fury white planthoppers, the multicolored leafhoppers, the turquoise headed black flying insects or the red eyed dragonflies. There are many species of the butterflies like the delicate looking iguazu butterflies or the Owl butterflies and the postman butterflies.
